Visiting Artists at Branson
At Branson, our arts faculty also bring the arts world to you. Throughout each year, we invite professional guest artists and alumni artists to campus (or, during Covid, on Zoom) to share their expertise with Branson students. Some visits last a few hours; others are deeper collaborations over several weeks. Each one offers students a chance to broaden your perspective, deepen your learning, and practice new skills.

Branson introduces the E. E. Ford Fellows program and its inaugural fellows, Antwan "Banks" Williams and Eric "Maserati-E" Abercrombie, who will work with Branson students in the arts throughout the 2022-23 school year.

Gospel Night is back again, and this year, we're excited to finally gather again in person! Now in its 28th year, this joyful celebration of our Beloved Community (and, belatedly, of Black History Month) features performances by Branson students, current and former faculty/staff, and local gospel musicians.

Rhana “Azalea” Menefee ’17 returned to Branson to teach a duet she co-choreographed her senior year with Allison Benguiat ’18.

Internationally renowned visual artist Zheng Chongbin P'19 just wrapped up his month-long residency working with juniors in Eric Oldmixon’s Advanced Visual Arts class. Chongbin is an internationally renowned, Marin County–based artist whose career has spanned three decades.

James Tucker, owner and operator of The Aesthetic Union, a letterpress print shop in San Francisco, visited Advanced Visual Arts elective “Taking A Stand: Messaging the Masses,” as a part of the class’ ongoing exploration of art as a vehicle for social progress.

Texas-based printmaker Ben Muñoz joined Advanced Visual Arts for three class periods to share his work and inspire students to explore the themes that he addresses in his own work.
